I've started my career as an artist highly interested in digital as I was fascinated by computers and the internet since early childhood being a self-taught developer.
The majority of my work experience to date is in the Higher Education sector, working in creative leadership roles, designing and delivering academic publishing, online learning and e-commerce products.
I am passionate about human-centred design and data-driven innovation, energised by working with people and leading teams to deliver products and services that people need and enjoy using.
I currently work at Cambridge University Press as Online Customer Experience Director, leading a department of Product and UX teams to design and deliver an ecosystem of platforms tailored to the needs of researchers, lecturers, students, librarians and our publishing partners.
I teach User Experience Design at University of the Arts London and love seeing people coming into this field from so many backgrounds. The fact that CX and UX are interdisciplinary fields invites different perspectives, examining concepts and practices from various point-of-views and sparks fascinating conversations about business, technology, design and psychology.
Being part of the local and global design community is truly an exciting experience, especially now that Design gets a seat at the table with the ever-growing importance of digital experiences.
